Sade Adu turns 56
The 'smooth operator' singer who is a bearer of the prestigious award, Order of the British Empire adds another year.

Helen Folashade Adu is a year older today January 16, 2015 as she turns 56.
The
Grammy award winning musician is from Nigerian and British descent but
was born in Ibadan, Nigeria. She was the lead singer of a band called
Sade.
She has released hit tracks Taboo, Smooth Operator, King Sorrow, Soldier of love.
In 2002, she was awarded the Officer of the Order of the British Empire
by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace for her services to music.
Sade who has 6 studio albums was once married to a Spanish movie director in 1989, they had a daughter called Mickailia but the marriage ended in 1995.
