Since his breakout single, the Bayelsa singer has amassed a considerable amount of fame and fortune. This year the Dem Mama Records boss revealed he bought a silver Lexus Jeep.
It seems Timaya has added a new car- a silver Bentley to his impressive fleet of cars. Today, May 26, 2015 he posted a picture of him in front of a silver Bentley. The caption of the picture simply read 'GRACE'.
With news of Timaya completing work on his second mansion in Port-Harcourrt this year, it shouldn't seem far fetched that the successful act has just bought himself a Bentley.

Toolz OAP's engagement ring might not cost N2.8m

05:59 Unknown 0 Comments

The ring was first identified as a Tiffany Soleste creation. A Tiffany Soleste engagement ring is said to be worth $14, 400 (N2,846,490).

The news of the day is definitely Toolz's engagement to Captain Tunde Demuren who she has been dating since circa 2012.
Tunde Demuren who has business interests in aviation and in the music industry gave his bride to be his engagement ring, a modified diamond ring with an elegant band.
The ring was first identified as a Tiffany Soleste creation. A Tiffany Soleste engagement ring is said to be worth $14, 400 (N2,846,490).
Well Toolz's engagement ring is not a Tiffany Soleste. According to Tunde Demuren, Toolz's ring was made Rebecca Noff Fine Jewelry by Luxury Bespoke Fine Jewelry. "Thank you @rebeccanoff - one word -- Amazing She loves it. Cc @toolzo" wrote the pilot in the caption of his photo of Toolz's ring.
So Toolz's ring is not worth N2,846,490 but hey it still surely looks expensive.

Karma Man shocked as prostitutes he ordered turn out to be his daughters

05:35 Unknown 0 Comments

A father went into a panic mode and fainted when he ordered for prostitutes who turned out to be his daughters.
A father calls for his prostitute daughters unknowingly.
When they say Karma is a bitch, a 49-year-old Los Angeles, USA, father of 10, Titus McDonalds, must have come into the picture.
McDonalds who said he was having marital problems and decided to experiment with some prostitutes for a threesome, was shocked to his bone marrow when the two call girls he ordered turned out to be two of his daughters who had left home some years earlier.
When the girls came into the room, McDonalds reportedly had a panic attack and collapsed on the floor while the ladies fled the room after they realised that the man who had invited them was their own daddy.
McDonalds who swore he had never been with a prostitute in his life, went to Las Vegas to blow off the steam of his troubled marriage and what he saw there made him appreciate his family the more.
"I have never gotten a prostitute in my life, I swear to Christ. What are the odds it was my own flesh and blood that showed up? I think this is Lord’s way of bitch-slapping me."
When he came to, he sought out his daughters who are 20 and 23 respectively in a casino bar and had a long talk with them.
"I told them I was sorry for what I did. I apologized for my actions and said I just want my family whole again. My daughters and I have patched up our relationship.
My marital problems are not over, but we have a wonderful counselor who is helping us to get over this most difficult period."

Obasanjo made the remark on Sunday, May 24, 2015, during a meeting with delegation of South-West women leaders who paid him a courtesy visit in his Abeokuta, Ogun State home.
 Chief Olusegun Obasanjo
Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has again criticized incumbent, Goodluck Jonathan saying that he has mismanaged Nigeria.
Obasanjo made the remark on Sunday, May 24, 2015, during a meeting with delegation of South-West women leaders who paid him a courtesy visit in his Abeokuta, Ogun State home.
“The country had been poorly managed in the last eight years and it would take some time for Buhari’s government to correct the anomalies. But I want to tell him not to be frightened,” the former President said.
President Goodluck Jonathan
“What I would say is that we should all put our minds at rest. He (Buhari) is someone that will perform but we must exercise patience because what has been destroyed for eight years cannot be undone overnight,” he added.
“But like the Chinese proverb which says the journey of a thousand miles starts with a step, it is not only the first step (that matters) but the first step in the right direction because if you take a wrong step, you’re not likely to get to the destination,” Obasanjo said.
The former leader has been openly critical of Jonathan in recent times and earlier compared the President’s regime to that of former dictator, Sani Abacha.

All the banks have informed their customers that they would be forced to close shop at 1pm until the petrol crisis ends.

Barely 24 hours after Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) announced that it would close its branches early due to the fuel scarcity, other banks have followed suit.
The affected banks are the First City Monument Bank (FCMB) and First and WEMA banks.
All the banks have informed their customers that they would be forced to close shop at 1pm until the crisis ends.
“Dear Customer, our branches will close at 1pm from Mon May 25, due to the shortage of petroleum products. All our alternate channels will remain available,” FCMB said via a statement sent by text to its customers.
The petrol crisis has also led to the shutting down of radio station with telecommunications companies warning that their service might be affected as well.

Breaking News Oil marketers call off strike, to begin lifting fuel in 6 hours

05:27 Unknown 0 Comments

The decision was reached on Monday, May 25, 2015, after a meeting between the marketers and the Federal Government.
 Nigerians queuing for fuel
The current fuel scarcity in Nigeria is finally nearing an end as oil marketers in the country have agreed to call off their strike.
The decision was reached on Monday, May 25, 2015, after a meeting between the marketers and the Federal Government.
The meeting was called by the Senate Committee on Petroleum (Upstream and downstream) in a bid to resolve the crisis.
According to the Chairman of the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN), Obafemi Olawore, Conoil, Forte Oil, MRS, Total and Mobil have agreed to begin lifting and distributing product to end the scarcity.
This comes after the Managing Director of Capital Oil and Gas, Ifeanyi Ubah ordered his trucks to deliver 13 million litres of fuel around the country to end the hardship being faced by Nigerians.
Ubah had also, on Sunday, May 24, called on his fellow marketers to follow suit in the spirit of patriotism.

REVEALED The real reason behind fuel scarcity in Nigeria

05:25 Unknown 0 Comments

Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Sunny Nkpe disclosed this on Monday, May 25, 2015, during a telephone interview with Pulse.
 Fuel scarcity
According to the Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Sunny Nkpe, Nigeria is constantly plagued with fuel crises because it’s not using its refineries.
Nkpe disclosed this on Monday, May 25, 2015, during a telephone interview with Pulse.
The IPMAN Chairman stated further that Nigeria’s refineries can produce 50-60% of the fuel the country needs but they’ve been shut down for more than a year.
“We have refineries that can refine 450,000 barrels of crude oil per day, that’s millions of litres of refined product,” he said.
“Why are we not using the refineries? Let them use the refineries,” Nkpe said.
An industry insider, who chose to remain anonymous, told Pulse that the relevant government agencies refuse to use the local refineries to produce the country’s needs because there’s much more money to be fraudulently gotten from importing the product.
“They are knowingly boycotting the refineries,” she said. “They make more money with importation due to corruption and fraud,” she added.
The fuel subsidy regime in Nigeria has come to be viewed as a huge scam, a notion buttressed by the 2014 arrest of 121 suspects, who were believed to have benefited from it, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The current scarcity is said to be an artificial creation of the marketers in attempts to force the government to pay the remaining subsidy debt it owes them before a new administration is inaugurated on May 29, 2015.
Meanwhile, the marketers have called of their strike and are expected to begin supplying product nationwide to end the scarcity.
However, until the real problems causing the scarcity are resolved, Nigerians are left asking how long it will be before the next crisis occurs.

Goodluck Jonathan President remains silent on petrol crisis

05:34 Unknown 0 Comments

The situation has been ongoing for months and is at its worst in Abuja, the seat of power, yet the President has not deemed it fit to address the issue.
 President Goodluck Jonathan
Nigerians in the country have expressed surprise that President Goodluck Jonathan has not said anything about the current fuel and power crisis in the country.
The situation has been ongoing for months and is at its worst in Abuja, the seat of power, yet the President has not deemed it fit to address the issue.

Somebody pls tell GEJ that "silence is not golden" at a time like this. He needs to speak up now.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in a statement issued May 24, 2015, accused Jonathan of handing over a distressed country to President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, a move which it says reeks of sabotage.
"In a few days’ time, President Jonathan will hand over to President-elect Muhammadu Buhari. Never in the history of our country has any government handed over to another a more distressed country: No electricity, no fuel, workers are on strike, billions are owed to state and federal workers, 60 billion dollars are owed in national debt and the economy is virtually grounded,” the statement reads.
Nigeria's Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke
"Today, Nigerians are roaming the streets, jerry cans in hand, searching for everything from kerosene to fuel to diesel to power their homes, keep their vehicles on the road and keep their businesses going. They are paying as much as 300 Naira per litre for fuel, if at all they can get it. Yet their government is not saying a word about the situation,” it added.
Ngozi-Okonjo Iweala
The party also spoke on the effect that the fuel crisis has had on the economy and the supply of goods and services.
“If the current energy crisis is not solved soonest, the telecommunications sector could even be grounded in a matter of days as service providers will have neither electricity nor fuel to power their base stations. Of course the aviation sector has already been left comatose by the fuel crisis, the whole scenario reeks of sabotage!” the APC said.
This sentiment has been mirrored by other Nigerians who are disappointed at the President’s silence and believe that citizens are being punished for voting him out of office.

Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke has also not addressed the issue but is instead said to have made a hasty trip to the United Kingdom for unknown reasons.
Also, the Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has vowed not to pay the marketers who are behind the crisis after accusing them of fraud.
“Marketers just want to make Nigerians suffer. I will not pay the N159 billion without verification, Nigerians should not allow themselves to be blackmailed,” she said in Abuja on Saturday, May 23.
However, a resolution to the issue seems to have arisen as the Managing Director of Capital Oil and Gas, Ifeanyi Ubah has offered to supply product to end the scarcity.
“We are constrained at this point and have decided that two wrongs cannot make a right. We will not be part of this sabotage against our fatherland. Therefore from this minute, we shall take the risk of opening our facilities and commence swift loading and distribution of products Nationwide,” Ubah said via a statement on Sunday, May 24.
Meanwhile, Jonathan, Vice President, Namadi Sambo, Okonjo-Iweala and other officials of the outgoing administration are said to have concluded plans to fly out of the country on May 29, after Buhari is sworn in.

Fuel Scarcity Food prices jack up in Warri

05:23 Unknown 0 Comments

According to a NAN survey on Sunday, May 24, in the popular Igbudu Market, the price increase affects Rice, Beans, Yam, Garri, Onions and Groundnut oil.

Report says prices of stable food stuff have increased in Warri, Delta state commercial city, NAN reports
According to a NAN survey on Sunday, May 24, in the popular Igbudu Market, the price increase affects Rice, Beans, Yam, Garri, Onions and Groundnut oil.
The Chairman of Onion Unit in Igbudu Market, Alhaji Kasimu Haruna, said the price for a bag of onion has risen from N8,000 it was sold in April to N9,000.
He attributed the increase to the high cost of transporting the commodity from the northern part of the country to the city.
He said that the increase in cost of transportation is as a result of fuel scarcity in the country in addition to the scarcity of the commodity.
He said: “the cost of a bag of onions together with the cost of transporting it from Sokoto to Warri is now about N7, 000.
“There are no fresh onions now; the ones we are selling are from the storage we made last year and the lower the supplies the higher the prices.
“So between now and the harvest season, the price will continue to be on the increase.
He appealed to the Federal Government to solve the problem of fuel scarcity to reduce the cost of transporting food stuff from the northern part of the country.
A rice dealer, Aghogho Abalu, said that the prices of a 50 kilogramme bag of Mama Gold, Mama Africa and Ade Rice brands of rice, has increased to N10,000, N8,500 and N8,200 respectively.
She said that in April, the prices for a 50 kilogramme bag of the brands were N9,500, N8,200 and N7,800 respectively.
A beans seller Esther Azubuike, said that a big bag of white beans formerly sold for N12, 000 is now N13,000.
Azubike said the selling price of the commodity increased because the suppliers increased the cost price and blamed it on cost of transportation.
The survey revealed that a standard measure of garri now sells for N350 as against N300 it sold in April while the price of three litres of Turkey rose from N1,000 to N1,100.
Another seller said that the prices of baskets of tomatoes ranged between N2,500 and N5,300 depending on the sizes.
