Fuel Scarcity Ubah’s Capital Oil reportedly sells petrol at N87 per litre

Some social media users have said that fuel is indeed being sold at Capital Oil stations and at the official pump price of N87.

According to reports, the Managing Director of Capital Oil and Gas, Ifeanyi Ubah has made good on his promise to supply fuel around the country.

Ubah had issued a statement on Sunday, May 24, 2015, saying that he was pulling out of the marketers strike due to the hardship it was causing Nigerians and had instructed his trucks to deliver around the country.
“Capital Oil on osolo way Isolo is selling at 87/Litre. Queue is bearable,” Twitter user James Ndubuisi said on Monday, May 25.

His account was confirmed by another user, @dudestillwaters, who said that a Capital Oil station had sold fuel for 6 hours at the official price.
“They just stopped selling... Sold #PMS for about 6 hours at #87,” he tweeted.

Ubah also called on other marketers to follow suit and supply product to end the scarcity.
Meanwhile, businesses around the country are warning of an impending shut down due to the lack of fuel.
Some of the organizations involved include telecommunications companies, MTN and Airtel and Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB).
