Meet D'Banj's First Female Manager

For the first time in his career, D'Banj has acquired the services of a female manager. She goes by the name of Tonya Merritt.

According to a report by THE NET, D'Banj hasn't officially announced that Tonya Merritt is his new manager. He also hasn't revealed that he is no longer working with artist manager Tony Nwakolor. In a tweet dated August 15, 2014 D'Banj quietly revealed her as his new manager. "EJA NLA and the best and rarest Agent in the World. Mamalet of Life Tonya Merritt the one who gets me…lol! God bless you!..." read the caption of the picture he shared on Twitter.

Tonya Merritt is based in America and will be handling all of D'Banj's affairs globally. In Nigeria, the pop star is represented by Asa Asika- Davido's former manager.

Tonya Merritt is an international business consultant, publicist and booking agent who is based in Atlanta, Georgia. She has been associated with D'Banj for a few years now, getting him international deals, gigs and collaborations. She got him collabos with Snoop Lion and sealed the deal between him and Giuseppe Zannoti. She has now assumed full responsibility of managing D'Banj. She launched her company Tonya Merritt Group in Nigeria in 2006. As an international agent she has worked with Trey Songz, Snoop Lion and others.

D'Banj's former managers include, Ayo Shonaiya, Sunday Are, Bankuli, and Tony Nwakolor.
