MTV Base Tags Burna Boy A Rapper In New List

MTV Base has goofed again. In a newly released list of the Top Ten Hottest Rappers in Africa, the continental music entertainment channel listed pop act Burna Boy as one of the hottest rap acts.

His inclusion in the list is bizarre to say the least. Everyone knows that Burna Boy is a pop act who leans towards the Reggae/dancehall sound. To tag Burna Boy as a rapper reveals a basic lack of understanding of the artiste's style of music.

This blooper is disheartening because a brand such as MTV Base shouldn't be making this error. Burna Boy is a talented pop act, but he is no rapper. After the controversial list MTV Base put out on Independence day, one would have thought that they would have come up with a more vigourous process of coming up with lists. Apparently not.
