Goodluck Jonathan: President mourns late billionaire, Bayo Kuku

President Goodluck Jonathan has extended his condolences to the Kuku family of Ijebu-Ode following the death of its patriarch, Bayo Kuku.
Chief Kuku died on Thursday, March 5, after a protracted illness. He was 85-years-old.
The President expressed his sympathies via a statement released by his media aide, Reuben Abati.
The statement reads:
“President
Goodluck Ebele Jonathan extends heartfelt commiserations to the Awujale
of Ijebu-Ode, Oba Sikiru Adetona and his people on the death yesterday
of one of the town’s most illustrious sons, Chief Bayo Kuku.”
“President
Jonathan similarly condoles with members of the Kuku family as well as
the Government and people of Ogun State on the passage of the renowned
Ogbeni-Oja of Ijebu-Ode.”
“The President shares
their grief as they mourn Chief Kuku, a highly respected businessman and
philanthropist who touched many lives positively in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun
State and Nigeria as a whole.”
“He believes that
Chief Kuku will be long remembered and honoured across the country and
beyond as a trail-blazing entrepreneur and administrator whose career
highlights included his exemplary leadership role as President of the
Nigerian Stock Exchange.”
“President Jonathan prays that Almighty Allah will grant Chief Kuku eternal rest and comfort all who mourn him.”
Chief Kuku was buried in his hometown, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, on Friday, March 6, in accordance with Islamic rites.
