Governor Oshiomhole Sacks Aide Over Poor Performance
Latest news coming out of Edo State, western Nigeria indicate
that the Governor of the state, Adams Oshiomhole has terminated the
appointment of one of his aides.
According to Vanguard report, the affected aide is Hillary Ekhoye, the Executive Director, Public Procurement Agency.
The reason for the termination of Ekhoye’s appointment, according to a letter signed by the Secretary to Edo State Government, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, dated Wednesday, September 24, 2014, is due to poor performance.
It was gathered from the letter that Ekhoye was directed to hand over
any Government property in his possession to the Secretary, Edo State
Public Procurement Agency.
The letter also stated that the directive takes immediate effect.
This latest development is coming less than 24 hours after Governor Oshoimhole declared his intention to contest for the presidency during next year’s general election in Nigeria.
