Police Arrest Senator Danjuma Goje
Danjuma Goje, the former governor of Gombe State was reportedly arrested on Monday, by the state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Abubakar.
Leadership reports that Goje, who was the former governor of the state, was detained for several hours.

It was reported that the ex- governor was visiting his local government, Akko, when he was apprehended by the commissioner of police for an undisclosed reason or formal charge.
The serving senator was said to have been released although the reason for his arrest is still unknown.
Danjuma Goje, took office as the governor of Gombe State on 29 May 2003. He became a Senator for Gombe Central on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the April 2011 elections.
It would be recalled that Danjuma Goje, was among the 11 senators who defected from PDP to APC, and shunned a meeting with the Senate leadership, David Mark. It was reported that efforts made by the Senate President to pacify the defecting senators, were thwarted as Bukola Saraki, Danjuma Goje, Shaba Lafiagi, Magnus Abe and others were angry over the refusal of the Senate leadership to read their defection letter, as they had expected, during last Wednesday’s plenary did not fall through.
