In Rivers Police recover 10 vehicles allegedly stolen by past administration
The vehicles were recovered on Monday, June 8, 2015, from Rumuokparali
and Trans-Amadi in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.

The police in Rivers State have
recovered 10 vehicles which were allegedly stolen by officials of the
immediate past administration in the state.
The
vehicles were recovered on Monday, June 8, 2015, from Rumuokparali and
Trans-Amadi in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state, Punch
reports.
This was disclosed via a statement released by the State Government House.
According
to the statement, the recovered vehicles include one Coaster bus, two
Nissan Urvan buses, two Higer vehicles, one Land Cruiser, one Toyota
Hilux Pick-up, one Peugeot 607 Saloon car and two Peugeot 406 cars.
“Acting
on information that some suspected vehicles belonging to the Rivers
State Government were seen parked in unauthorised yards, the command
recovered three Coaster buses, two 306 Peugeot, two Hummer buses and one
306 Peugeot,” police spokesperson for the state, Ahmad Mohammad, said.
Governor Nyesom Wike had alleged upon assuming office that the administration before his had looted the Government House and left it bare.
This claim was however denied by former Governor, Rotimi Amaechi who accused Wike of making up excuses to justify an exorbitant renovation.
