Jealousy Man stabs wife 14 times on suspicion of cheating

A jealous Indian husband, Kamal Kumar, has been arrested after he stabbed his wife of 10 years, Deepika, 14 times on the suspicion that she has been unfaithful to him, reports Indian Times.

Kumar, a scrap dealer in Ludhiana, Basti Jodhewal area of the country, suspecting his wife for infidelity, beat her up and went ahead to stab the 28-year-old woman until she fell unconscious and was rushed to a hospital where she is currently receiving treatment.

In her complaint to the police, Deepika said that she was married to Kumar around ten years ago and his unfettered jealousy and suspicion of infidelity had been the cause of constant quarrels and fights which led her to move out of his house.

She further alleged that on Monday, Kamal called her to meet for an agreement but when she reached the spot, her husband attacked her with a kitchen knife, stabbing her in the abdomen, chest, back, legs and arms.

The woman was saved by the people who had gathered there and nabbed her husband before being handed over to the police.

Inspector Harpal Singh, of the SHO Basti Jodhewal police station said the accused suspected his wife of having an extra marital affair.
