Stubborn Flies Defaulters who plied special BRT lane made to cut grass as punishment
Seven drivers who drove through dedicated BRT lanes were made to cut grass as their punishment.
The new regime of Akinwunmi Ambode in Lagos has
hit the ground running in terms of ensuring that motorists do not drive
through the dedicated lanes reserved for the state run Bus Rapid Transport (BRT), as it was in the past.
To this end, seven erring drivers who were caught flouting the rules were made to cut grass on the football field of the Ministry of Youth and Social Development run Boys' Remand Home, Oregun, as a way to teaching them a lesson.
The defaulters had been arraigned at the Special Offences Court at Alausa, Ikeja, and for their punishment, were to undergo community service for one hour in addition to paying a fine for the traffic offence.
