Morning Teaser Will the order by Buhari for public officers to declare their assets will curb corruption?
President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered that his ministers must declare
their assets. Do you think this would stop corruption in Nigeria?
Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari and
his vice, Yomi Osinbajo seem to have started on a good note by
declaring their assets, something former President Goodluck Jonathan and
his Ministers failed to do.
Buhari has also
ordered his would be cabinet members and other political office holders
to declare their assets so that Nigerians can hold them accountable
anytime they engage in some corrupt practices.
This
order has been recommended by Nigerians with the belief that
declaration of assets by public office holders will curb corruption in
the country.
But there are those who are skeptical
about this and think the would be ministers and office holders will
still find a way of dipping their hands into the coffers and steal the
country's money.
On Morning Teaser
today, we ask: do you think the order by the President for his
Ministers and other public office holder to declare their assets curb
corruption in Nigeria?
