Sasha P is a rapper that can't be discarded easily. The pioneering female rapper became a member of the rap collective Da Trybe spearheaded by the charismatic eLDee the Don.
She
and Blaise were the only few female rappers in the clique. Blaise left
the group shortly, and she held the mantle for female rappers everywhere
in the country.
Her debut single 'Emi Le Gan' was released in October 2003, and Sasha quickly became the leading and most relevant female rapper in Nigeria.
When Da Trybe disbanded, Sasha moved to Storm Records, where she released her debut album the aptly titled 'First Lady' in 2007.
The
release of this album led to unparalleled success to Sasha that has yet
to be attained by any female rapper in Nigeria till date. Sasha won
numerous awards and received a lot of acclaim from the album.
Diversifying her portfolio, she established in Eclectic By Sasha, a celebrity ready to wear line in 2007. In January 2015, she unveiled her first pair of Eclectic By Sasha sneakers handmade in Italy.
