A Price To Pay 'Ashewos' in court for robbing customer of 49k

Two commercial sex workers have been dragged to an Abuja court for robbing their customer.

Two commercial sex workers, popularly called 'ashewo', Joy Peter, 23, and Divine Okoye, 25, have been dragged to a Wuse Zone 2 Senior Magistrates’ Court, in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, on a two-count of joint act and theft after they were accused of robbing a 'customer', James Malu, of the sum of N49,000.
The two prostitutes who operate from Meri-Jeo Hotel, Masaka, Nasarawa State, according to the prosecutor, Corporal Francis Tanko, were alleged to have conspired and stolen cash and other items from the home of a man who patronised them.
The court heard that Malu had, on April 5, 2015, had gone to a night club in the  area where he met the two woman and had contracted them for an all night sex, which they obliged and he took them to his home.
But during the night when he went to use the rest room, the two ladies stole his sandals, spare key of his car, house keys and N49,000 cash and took to their heels.
Tanko said that the accused were eventually arrested on April 8, adding that the offence contravened sections 79 and 288 of Penal Code.
The accused pleaded not guilty and the Magistrate, Aminu Eri, admitted them to bail in the sum of N20,000.
