A failed suicide attack in Yobe State has left the bomber dead and eight others injured, reports say.
The
bomber was reportedly targeting the Sakafa Mosque in Potiskum, the
state capital when the device he was carrying exploded prematurely.
The incident is said to have occurred at about 4:20pm on Monday, April 20, 2015.
“Yes
the bomber was conveying the explosive devices and in an attempt to
cross the last gutter to reach his target…the explosives went off on the
spot,” an eyewitness told Channels TV.
The incident was has been confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the state, Toyin Gbadegesin.
