The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mike Omeri, has inaugurated a nationwide programme as part of the Federal Government efforts to curb the spread of the deadly Ebola virus.
Speaking with Nigerian Tribune at the weekend in Akokwa, Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State, during the community’s new yam festival which attracted indigenes from across the country, he said the nationwide sensitisation of local communities on the dreaded disease and insecurity were imperative.
He said NOA community sensitisation will see community mobilisation officers visiting village squares, churches, mosque, markets and other public places to engage members of the public on the subject matter.
