NOA Commences Nationwide Ebola Sensitisation Programme
The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency
(NOA), Mike Omeri, has inaugurated a nationwide programme as part of the
Federal Government efforts to curb the spread of the deadly Ebola
virus.
Speaking with Nigerian Tribune at the weekend in Akokwa, Ideato
South Local Government Area of Imo State, during the community’s new yam
festival which attracted indigenes from across the country, he said the
nationwide sensitisation of local communities on the dreaded disease
and insecurity were imperative.
He said NOA community sensitisation will see community mobilisation
officers visiting village squares, churches, mosque, markets and other
public places to engage members of the public on the subject matter.
