The Buhari Support Organization (BSO) has said that President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari will not probe past rulers of Nigeria when he assumes office.
The group stated that Buhari would instead focus on human and societal development for the overall good of the country.
This was disclosed by the Director, Research, Planning and Strategy of the organization, Jamal Tijani-Bello during an interview with journalists in Osogbo, Osun State.
“Buhari’s
policy is to serve the people first. His philosophy is about people
first. He is not concerned with those who had ruled the country before
but his major concern is how to serve the people and develop this
country to the admiration of the former leaders and the upcoming ones,” he said.
Buhari
had earlier said that he would not focus on probing every one of
Nigeria’s ministries as it would keep the country from moving forward.
Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka has however disagreed with the President-elect’s stance saying that corrupt Nigerians should not go scot-free.
