Ogun Postpones School Resumption Indefinitely Over Ebola
In an effort to curtail the possible spread of Ebola
outbreak, the Ogun State government has extended the resumption of
schools indefinitely in the metropolis.
Vanguard reports that the announcement was contained in a
statement issued on Thursday, by the state’s Ministry of Education,
Science and Technology.
The statement explained that the decision was taken as part of
efforts to check Ebola virus in accordance with the current global
health challenge occasioned by the disease.
It stated that the resumption date for all public and private primary
and secondary schools have been postponed till further notice.
The statement noted that the resumption earlier scheduled for September 15, 2014 has been postponed indefinitely.
