3 Killed, 15 Kidnapped By Boko Haram In Cameroon
No fewer than three people were reportedly killed and 15
others kidnapped in a fresh cross-border attack by the dreaded Boko
Haram sect in northern Cameroon, a security source said Tuesday, August
18.
The source who spoke on condition of anonymity said at least 20
armed men stormed the village of Greya in Cameroon on Monday afternoon
and stole all the food stocks.
The source said: “Boko Haram militants killed at least three civilians and abducted a dozen others – presumably all Cameroonians.”
They also burned down the village’s primary school before departing, Punch reports.
The Cameroonian army were said to have arrived long after the
terrorists had left as they were warned too late of the incident, due to
the area’s poor communications infrastructure.
