Please Dialogue With Them - Chibok Chairman Pleas For Help In Abuja
Sad news have swept through Chibok, Borno State, as seven parents of the abducted female students of the Government Secondary School, Chibok have passed away due to trauma.
Chibok Kibaku Area Development Association community chairman, Dr.
Pogu Bitrus revealed this yesterday during a news briefing in the
Federal State Capital Abuja.
This news is coming eighty one days after Boko Haram kidnapped over
200 girls and have killed 229 people in 15 attacks on the Chibok
community.
He also begged the Jonathan led Federal Government to dialogue with the sect for the release of these school girls who have been said to be raped and molested by the terrorists.
He also disclosed that the FG has not even been able to provide
adequate security for them even after 15 attacks and 229 people died. He
also asked for more educational infrastructure to help out kids scared
of going to school in Chibok.
He then asked the FG to finally construct the 40km
Mbalala-Chibok-Damboa federal road which has been left to rot for the
past 20 years.
Bitrus said: “Today (Friday) is 81 days since the abduction and in
spite of the firm categorical statements by the Chief of Defence Staff
that the location of the girls is known to the government, the appalling
situation and agony encompassing the unfortunate abduction saga and
detention of the Chibok girls by the Boko Haram insurgents continues and
the rescue efforts by the government is yet to yield any result.
