Ex-Footballer arrested for robbing hotels
Nate Harris confessed to robbing four hotels, one of them twice and he threatened to shoot people
A former University football player in
Louisville, Nate Harris was arrested on Sunday morning and charged with
three counts of vicious armed robberies carried out on four hotels and
dry cleaners.
Reports in the Us state: 'Harris
was a heralded recruit as a linebacker running in high school in Miami
and accepted a scholarship offer to the University of Miami, but the
school withdrew it after he admitted in court in 2002 that he’d served
as a lookout in an armed robbery during which he and two others used a
gun to rob a man of a necklace, bracelet and ring on a street corner in
the Liberty City area of Miami.
'When he
was signed at U of L after playing at Dodge City Community College in
Kansas, he told The Courier-Journal: “I know people are saying, ‘Will he
do it again?’ I know there’s a question mark on me. But I’ve changed my
life around. The past is in the past.”
'Harris
was arrested at 1:55 a.m. Sunday and charged with a series of robberies
that began on Christmas Day when he allegedly entered the Red Roof Inn,
9330 Blairwood Road, presented a note indicating he was armed and
demanded cash.'
